What you'll see — and what you won't. RDAP gives you registrar, dates, status flags, nameservers and DNSSEC reliably. Registrant contact details (the person who owns the domain) have been redacted by default since 2018 under GDPR — almost every gTLD returns "REDACTED FOR PRIVACY" instead of a real name and email. Some ccTLDs (e.g. .uk, .au) publish more, others publish less. To unredact you'd need a court order or an ICANN accredited request. Use the registrar's abuse contact if you need to report something.

Lookups go to rdap.org's public bootstrap (CORS-friendly RDAP proxy). The query is sent in the clear over HTTPS; rdap.org logs it like any public service would.
