About Tone & Noise Generator
Continuous tones and coloured noise on demand. Pick a waveform — sine (pure tone, the standard for tuning), square (hollow retro feel), sawtooth (buzzy and bright), triangle (soft and mellow) — and dial the frequency from 20 Hz to 4 kHz with quick-pick chips for the standard A pitches (A2 / A3 / A4 = 440 Hz / A5 / A6) plus 1 kHz. Or switch to noise mode for white (equal across the spectrum, harsh sizzle), pink (equal energy per octave, the 'natural' background hiss that sounds like rain or a waterfall), or brown (heavy low-end rumble, like distant thunder). Live preview through your speakers; export anywhere from 1 to 60 seconds as a 16-bit PCM WAV file ready to drop into a DAW, video editor, or your phone's white-noise routine. Useful for hearing tests, instrument tuning, audio gear testing, focus / sleep loops, and sound design starters. Pink noise uses Paul Kellet's filter algorithm for proper 1/f spectral shape.
